    FOUNDER & CEO

A former Talent Search and Upward Bound Director, Luis Perez Jr considers himself a lifelong learner and is ecstatic to bring PreDegree to TRIO directors and students throughout the country.

During his time as a Director, he found himself constantly piecing together resources to create effective, engaging curriculum for his students. He knew there had to be a better way, sparking the idea of PreDegree.

Prior to his work in TRIO, Luis taught 7th grade Language Arts in a small town just a few miles from where he grew up. He saw himself in the many students who entered his classroom with low-income backgrounds, and it was those students who ignited his passion to help prepare low-income, first generation students for success in high school and college.

Luis graduated from Texas A&M University '11 with a Bachelor's degree in Interdisciplinary Studies and earned his Master's degree from Lamar University '16 in School Counseling. It has been his absolute pleasure to see his dream become reality - bringing PreDegree to tens of thousands of students (and directors) throughout the country.

    MARKETING AND SUPPORT

Rosalinda Perez takes pride in being an academic trailblazer as a first-generation college student and graduate. Although they lacked college degrees, her parents highly valued education and encouraged her to pursue her dreams and for that she'll be forever thankful.

Her desire to impact young first-generation students like herself led her to change her major from Sport Management to Interdisciplinary Studies because she knew teaching was where she could really change lives.

After graduation, she spent 5 years in the classroom as a Middle School Math teacher where she planned and designed numerous activities to make learning fun and engaging for her students.

Wanting to guide students in a different capacity, Rosalinda pivoted into a new role as the Advisor at Coastal Bend College. In her time there, she gained experience assisting students with many challenges, including applying to college, choosing courses, and applying for and keeping financial aid. She also had the pleasure of teaching a college success course for multiple semesters.

She has received training as an independent educational consultant from IECA to better assist students on their journey to choose the perfect college fit for them.

Rosalinda graduated from Texas A&M University '11 with a Bachelor's degree in Interdisciplinary Studies and earned her Master's degree from Texas A&M University '15 in Curriculum and Instruction. One of her greatest honors is passing on knowledge to those with similar upbringings, goals, and ambition as herself.
